Kaylin’s Caring Konnection is the vision of 16-year-old Kaylin Jean-Louis. It was birthed out of her heart and vision to see all children smile and feel cared for, despite their circumstances.

There are over 6 million people living with Alzheimer's nationwide. When you consider those who are caring for their loved ones who are living with the disease, the number of people it affects triples.

For Kaylin, the walk is very personal because two of the over 6 million persons living with the disease live in her home. She helps to care for her 79-year-old grandmother and 98-year-old great-grandmother, both of whom are living with Alzheimer's. She gets an up-close view of the disease and the effects it has on her grandparents and her family. That's why she's chosen to walk and to help bring greater awareness to other young people concerning Alzheimer's. She's walking to show support to other youth who, too, may be helping to care for a loved one with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia--she wants you to know you're not alone.
