Every year, Kaylin's Caring Konnection does a "12-Days of Caring" Holiday Fundraiser, in our efforts to raise funds to give back to those in our community. Kaylin's focus has always been geared towards children and youth, in ensuring she can bring smiles to their faces (and hearts) during Christmas by simply letting them feel that if no one else cares, Kaylin Cares.

This year, in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic we're in, Kaylin wanted to do something special for the medical workers and support staff who are working tirelessly to help save lives in our community. Many of them are working extra-long shifts with little to no days off. Families are not being allowed into hospitals to be with their loved ones, leaving these workers to not only provide medical care but emotional support to the patients. Kaylin's desire is to let them know that as a community, we see, appreciate, support them, and are honored by the daily sacrifices they are making for families in our community. In so doing, Kaylin's Caring Konnection has konnected with the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) Foundation to make this happen.

How To Konnect:

2. PROVIDE MEALS FOR HEALTHCARE HEROS

TMH has about 300 staff caring for patients with COVID-19. Your gift of any amount will help these heroes. Here are a few examples of what your sponsorship will provide:

​

• Lawn maintenance, laundry service, or house cleaning for heroes who’ve been too exhausted to keep up with chores at home.

• A massage following three intense 12-hours shifts.

• A babysitter for a date night.

• A golf outing or another form of recreation for heroes who haven't had time to enjoy their favorite hobby.

     And so much more.​

3. SuperPup PROGRAM

TMH cares for 1,500 - 2,000 children annually who would qualify by age/need to receive a SuperPup. 

SuperPup is a comfort, stuffed animal that will be given to children as they are admitted to the hospital or surgical unit. Your gift will help bring comfort to children who face health challenges.

​

As children proceed through the care that is needed, SuperPup will be by their side. If a child needs a cast, SuperPup will also get a cast. If it is a shot that is needed, SuperPup can get a shot, too. From bandages to breathing treatments, SuperPup will be alongside children to bring the comfort and security they need.

4. MAKE A DONATION TO THE TALLAHASSEE MEMORIAL CHILDREN'S CENTER

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, please consider purchasing a Walmart or Amazon gift card and/or writing a check to the Foundation for your donation. Donations go towards purchasing clothing, toys, and other necessities for babies and children  Tallahassee Memorial Metabolic Health Center, Pediatric Rehabilitation Services, Radiology, Surgical Care, Family Care Unit and the Newborn ICU (NICU).

If writing a check, please make payable to TMH Foundation and note "KCK" in the memo.
