Tallahassee Walk to End Alzheimer's Youth Care Too! Movement Campaign | June 18 - October 2, 2021

THE YOUTH CARE TOO MOVEMENT IS JOINING FORCES WITH THE ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION, AND WE'RE WALKING TO #ENDALZ.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's is very personal to me as I get to see (and experience) its effect on my family every single day. My mom is the primary caregiver for my 79-year-old grandmother and my 97-year-old grandmother, both of whom have Alzheimer's and who live with us. I help my mom to care for them and I know the joys and challenges that come along with caring for someone with Alzheimer's. That's why I wanted to start my own team. I'm on a mission to recruit other youth and help to bring greater awareness to them as well.  Please join my team and/or make a donation TODAY!  Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.

KCK Youth Caregivers Awareness Drive | February 14 - March 7, 2021

KCK YOUTH CAREGIVER AWARD FLYER.jpg

Did You Know?
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are approximately 1.3 to 1.4 million youth caregivers who are between the ages of 8 to 18, nationwide. These are youth who are serving as caregivers to sick or disabled parents, siblings, aging relatives, or loved ones.

Do You Know A Youth Caregiver? Help Us To Recognize and Celebrate Them.
I (Kaylin) live with my mom, who is the primary caregiver for my 78-year-old grandmother, and my 97-year-old great-grandmother, both of whom have Alzheimer's dementia. I often help my mom to care for them and it's not always an easy task. But, it's one that I do willingly and with great joy. Caregivers are special, especially Youth Caregivers and we want to recognize and celebrate them with the Kaylin's Caring Konnection Youth Caregiver Award.

The purpose of this award is to recognize the unselfish, outstanding, loving CARE these youth provide to their family members. We want them to know that we see them and while they care for others, we care for them.
